Parrot's beak (osteophytes)
The osteophytes, known popularly such as parrot's beak, are small expansions hook-shaped bone that develop around the spinal disc. The osteophytes arise such as a reaction of the body to better absorb the overhead of a joint. They can appear in different parts of the body and neck, thoracic and lumbar area, but any joint in the body can be affected. The parrot's beak can be caused by influence of the spondylosis (aging of the spine), joint overload, inactivity, repetitive strain, trauma, among other factors.

Treatment
Treatment consists in acting on the disease that caused the bone spurs.
